News from BEC Archivist, Dylan Clark: This summer George Scheer, director of the Elsewhere Museum in Greensboro, NC is in residence at Boundary End Center until mid-August, writing a draft of his dissertation in the library. The BEC library, was founded by renowned Maya and Ancient American archaeologist, George Stuart.
George Scheer has also been kind enough to share some of his experience and insights with us about developing a residency program in a non-profit setting. He has also provided constructive feedback on interior design and use of space in the library, as well as logistical factors to take into consideration when designing a residency program. We’ll have a more detailed report and photos in an upcoming post.
