Hurricane Helene

Western North Carolina suffered a major natural disaster last week with the catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene. We believe the BEARC property and library escaped major damage, but communication with and road access into Boundary End and surrounding areas has been difficult to impossible after the storm. We will provide more information once we have updates.

Our hearts are with all of our friends and neighbors in Western North Carolina. We are also thinking about Florida, SC, GA, Guerrero, and Oaxaca in Mexico, as well as all the other affected regions.

Carolina del Norte ha sufrido una inundación sin precedentes debido al huracán Helene. Creemos que la propiedad y biblioteca del Boundary End Archaeology Research Center no tiene daños mayores. Sin embargo la comunicación continúa suspendida y los caminos difíciles a pasar o inaccesibles hacia el BEARC y sus alrededores. Les mantendremos informados.
