George Stuart: BEC is prime for small-scale retreats and scholarly meetings

The location of the Boundary End in the heart of a region where a large number of environmental, cultural, and conservation issues are present also makes it a prime place for small-scale retreats and scholarly meetings and conferences on a variety of topics that include archaeology, botany, conservation biology, forestry, and geology. In addition, formal affiliations are planned with schools and colleges in Western North Carolina, along with libraries, and other institutions that share the Center’s interests and goals.

– Dr. George E. Stuart (1935-2014), founder of Boundary End
