The Boundary End Center (BEC) is seeking candidates to become the 2020-21 George Stuart Residential Scholars for the 2020-21 academic year. BEC accepts candidates for either one or two semester-long residencies.
The Fall residency spans September 1-December 30. The Spring residency spans January 1-May 30. Summer residencies (June 1-August 30) are also possible.

Prioritized applicants will either be Ph.D. or M.A./M.Sc. candidates working on their thesis/dissertation or professors at any level in their career and in need of a writing retreat.

The residential scholar(s) will get free amenities (including a private bedroom) in the newly renovated residential library, a beautifully located office and work environment, along with access to all the resources of the library.

All applicants should have;

  • Good organizational skills
  • Strong interest in public outreach.

To apply, send a 1-2 page cover letter explaining why they would like to join BEC and for which semesters they are applying, along with a C.V., by March 13, midnight.
